SSC CDEP amazes Manileños with dance performances in the Educational Assistance Awarding Ceremony

THE SSC School of Music Continuing Dance Education Program (CDEP) was invited to perform during the Educational Assistance awarding ceremony yesterday at the San Andres Complex.  Councilor of the 1st district,  Nino dela Cruz extended this invitation for the dancers to have the very special opportunity to dance before an audience of two thousand plus (2,000+) comprised of students, parents, teachers, and local officials.  Aside from Councilor Dela Cruz, the LGU of Manila’s Mayor Honey Lacuna and Vice Mayor Yule Servo Nieto led the awarding of financial assistance to elementary and high school public school students.

SSC CDEP group performed a neo-classical piece entitled “Orinoco Flow” choreographed by Mikhail Anton, and a contemporary ballet dance entitled “Panag-inip”. This piece premiered at St Cecila’s Hall last Sept 10 and was filmed as an entry to the online dance concert of the Association of Ballet Academies of the Philippines. The choreography was a collaboration between the senior students of CDEP and dance choreographer Mikhail Anton. The following dancers were Valerie Raymundo, Bekka Brimon, Sierra Hamoy, Noelle Ticzon, Heleina Luistro,  Bea dela Cruz, Samantha Delda , Sarah Delda, Reese Alvia, Maxine Corcuera, Ingrid Juson, Amanda Joaquin, Sarah Ramos, Nique Oliver, Lora Benedicto, and Mikhail Anton Alvia.
