St. Scholastica’s College – Manila bags second place at the 11th Ethics Bowl

St. Scholastica’s College, Manila won second place at the 11th Ethics Bowl organized by the South Manila Educational Consortium (SMES) Ethics Committee. The annual competition was held at St. Paul University, Manila last January 26, 2018. Danielle Mary de Guzman, Madeleine Vienne Cosico, and Miriam Anne King, all third year students of School of Arts and Sciences, served as contestants. The team was mentored by Prof. Faye Rafael, Prof. Michael Antonio, and Prof. Zaldy Duenas III. The team discussed the issue of leniency of hair color and hair cut policies among schools in the elimination round while the issue of mental health caused by academic work among students was presented in the final round. De La Salle – College of St. Benilde and De La Salle University placed first and third respectively. In last year’s contest, SSC placed third.
