Psychology and Counseling Faculty research presentation in Paris, France

April 10,2019

Dr. Hector M. Perez, RPsy, a faculty of the Psychology and Counseling graduate and undergraduate programs,  presented his research paper through a poster presentation entitled Resiliency and Optimism: A Deeper Look into the Experiences of Petitioners in Nullity of Marriage in the Philippines at the International Convention of Psychological Science in Paris, France last March 7-9, 2019. His research delved into the clinical practice of the researcher as an expert witness in the nullification of marriage in the Philippines. Using the Boulder principle in Clinical Psychology, he turned his clinical hypotheses of working with his clients into research undertaking so that he could contribute to the literature of legal psychology.

Participants in the conventions exchanged scholarly notes with the researcher during the poster exhibit last March 7, 2019, the opening day of the international convention. Suggestions were offered by the international audience in the future research or implications of the research in the breadth of psychological knowledge.

Dr. Perez is currently a member of the CHED-NCR Quality Assessment Team for Psychology.
