JHS Observes Earth Hour
Last July 13, the Environment Area of the Student Council (SC) launched the “Earth Hour”, one of their long-running projects, that aims to encourage students to use less energy in the hope that they will do the same in their homes. This project also aims to conserve energy within the high school unit.
In SSC, the Earth Hour is when all air-conditioning units are switched off for a period. It is implemented once a week during the last period of a specified day. A reminder is made over the Public Announcement (PA) system once the last period of class starts. This is observed exception exam weeks and other similar days.
