590 Students Awarded at annual Recognition Rites
Reaping the fruit of their ten-month endeavor, a total of 590 students from Grades 8, 9, 10 and 12 were presented with the year-end awards for the school year 2018-2019 last August 12 at the Sr. Kuniberta Hall.
There were 111 awardees for the previous Grade 7 batch, 130 for the previous Grade 8 batch, 149 for the previous Grade 9 batch, and 210 for the previous Grade 11 batch.
The program began with an opening prayer led by Mrs. Abigail H. Gaon, OIC, and Assistant to the Academic Coordinator followed by the opening remarks from Mrs. Yasmin Fides R. Nuguid, Academic Coordinator. The first batch of awards were given to Grades 8 and 9 followed by Grades 9 and 12.
When Anna Margarita Escober of 9-C was asked about how she was consistently part of the honor roll, she said that getting a First Honors award is challenging. She added that receiving the said award entails a commitment to studies, and leveling up the standards for oneself. “I use my spare time to reread my notes and advance-study for the next lessons with or without any quiz,” she said.
She also mentioned the importance of prayer in her journey towards success. “I believe that passion plus perseverance and God’s grace will lead you to your dreams.”
