Guidelines in Borrowing Books

• Consult the Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC)to find out if a book is in the library or the book titles about the subject. Note the call number which will indicate the location in the library.

College Lib 13• Fill out the slip with call number, author, and title of the book.

• Locate the book on the shelves. 

• Write your name and your ID number on the orange book card of the book you are borrowing. 

• Present this to the library staff on duty at the circulation counter.

Important Reminders in borrowing books

Overdue Books

Books not returned on time incur a fine of five pesos (P5.00) per day, exclusive of Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. The borrowing privilege is suspended until the overdue fine is paid in full.


Library users who check out books from the library are requested to examine the books that they are borrowing for missing pages and damages. Borrowers are held responsible for whatever damage or mutilation is found on the books when they are returned.

Lost Books

A lost book may be replaced with the more recent edition of the same title or another title on the same topic, subject to the approval of the librarian. Replacement copiesn using newsprint paper will not be accepted. Overdue fines will continue to be imposed until the book is replaced. A processing fee of P60.00 will be charged for each replacement copy.
