Talk on the Socio Pastoral Apostolate of the Missionary Benedictine Sisters
Last September 10, 2018, was a gathering of different committees and individuals doing outreach and advocacy work. It was session conducted by Sr. Theodora Bilocura, OSB, head of the Socio-Pastoral Apostolate of the Missionary Benedictine Sisters who gave a talk to the Institutional Outreach Committee and members of the Justice and Peace and Integrity of Creation committee on the role of the SPA to SSC Outreach and advocacy work. Sr. Theody started her talk with the historical background on how the SPA came about and how it relates to the other outreach arms of the Benedictine sisters. Stories of the living out of the core advocacies of the school enriched the discussion. Lines of coordination and collaboration were also defined. The session was also an opportunity to clarify and define the relationship of SSC Outreach Committees to the bigger outreach organization of the OSBs.
