The Philippine Junior Marketing Association (PJMA) is the national organization of marketing students and official youth affiliate of the Philippine Marketing Association (PMA). It is composed of over 120 member schools across the Philippines with a member base of more than 30,000 marketing and business students. Its purpose is to organize projects and services that aim to maximize opportunities for the marketing students of the Philippines.
Last Feb. 22, the PJMA closed in to their final chapter event at the Philippine Women’s College in Davao entitled “Juan Big Idea: Soaring to Broader Marketing Heights Mindanao Edition.” Four (4) SSC Business Students had immense contribution to making the event a huge success: Irene Adame and Margaret Balasbas as Synergy Trainees; Janine Kyra Rivera among the Regional Directors and Ricca Ciana Macabuac, who hosted the event, as the Vice President for Communications.

Among the highlights of the event were the top notch speakers who are literally the best in their respective fields: Ms. Matec Villanueva, the President and CEO of Publicis Manila; Mr. Edgar Allan Caper, Marketing Head and Chief Marketing Strategist of Guam Fast Foods Inc., and SSC’s very own Mr. Jerry Yao, Director for Consumer Affairs of the Philippine Marketing Association.
PJMA’s chapter events cater to the needs of young marketing students in the provinces who do not always have equal opportunities to attend seminars unlike in the big cities. The federation has already conquered Luzon and Visayas and now they have gathered almost a thousand attendees from different universities and colleges all over Mindanao to learn and explore the ever changing trends of the Marketing World.
