The National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) 2015 science nation event labels the country as A Science Nation Innovating for Global Competitiveness; hence the exhibits, fora and all interactive activities put into perspective how the technologies of the country can be graded with a global standard. The exposure of the participants gave them a sense of pride for being a citizen of this country as they saw for themselves that competent scientists, engineers, food technologists, entrepreneurs and the like are born, educated and trained here in the Philippines. The educational landscapes for scientists, engineers and business entrepreneurs in the country and the support of Department of Science and Technology (DOST) have been very effective to local talents as evidenced by the products on display. Those who were present to witness the showcase of ideas and technologies went home with vigor and a spirit of enthusiasm to be one of the presenters in the future; thus making the science curriculum of the unit more appealing and relevant to the students.
