SSC affiliates with JA Philippines, Inc. on Work Readiness Program
In its continuing effort to reach out to resource entities that can provide assistance and extend work readiness to business students, the School of Business has officially affiliated with the Junior Achievement Philippines, Inc. (Member of JA Worldwide) in a simple conference ceremony last 10 November 2015 at the St. Scholastica’s College, Manila.
The JA Philippines, according to its website was “organized for the purpose of uplifting the education of young Filipinos by building on the outstanding success of Junior Achievement Inc. The Incorporators were leaders of prominent multinational and local Corporations.” It is a member of JA Worldwide which is “one of the largest global NGOs dedicated to addressing fundamental social and economic challenges of young people by educating and empowering them to transform their future and own their economic success.”By partnering with the JAPI, St. Scholastica’s College may be able to avail of general business literacy and work readiness programs for its graduating students and graduates alike.
In the works between School of Business Dean Ramon R. Mañalac and JAPI Executive Director Krishna Alejandrino is the implementation of the Registered Business ProfessionalTM (RBP) validation examination for the graduating business students for the academic year 2016-2017. The said assessment is a validation program certifying the competency of aspiring business professionals by corporate partners and career expert partners of JAPI.
