Psychology and Counseling 2015 General Assembly
The Psychology and Counseling department of St. Scholastica’s College, Manila held its annual general assembly on August 10, 2015 at the Sr. Kuniberta Stratmann Hall. Dr. Maria Victoria Trinidad, department chair, delivered the opening remarks as well as the vision, mission and course tracks of the department. This was followed by the keynote address of Dr. Cristina Saldivar; her discussion focused on differences in generations. Prof. Mae Rafanan and Dr. Mariel Rubia oriented the students on departmental policies and licensure requirements. New faculty members and the Psychology Society officers of A.Y. 2015-2016 were also introduced.
This general assembly also saw the launch of the department’s student brand. The objective of defining is to differentiate the Scholastican Psychology major as the preferred brand of student. Prof. Asuncion Azcuna, School of Arts and Sciences Dean, and Dr. Trinidad facilitated the launch. In her speech, Dean Azcuna challenged the students to step up and become walking advertisements of the brand.
