Off to Marihatag for exposure and teachers training
Led by the School President, Sr. Mary Frances Dizon, OSB, sixteen sisters, faculty, teachers and students went to Marihatag, Surigao del Sur for another exposure trip from June 17-21, 2015. Teacher and student trainings were also conducted.
Modules conducted for visit were: Print making for students by prof. Benjie Cabrera, Crafts Module by Prof. Hershey Malinis, Catechisms by Prof. Francis Quesada, Using the Dictionary to Learn Word Meaning and Pronunciation for students by Prof. Bethel Batallones, Curriculum Design and Methods of Teaching for Teachers by Dr. Rebecca Cacho.
Aside from visiting the ALCADEV and TRIFFS schools in Han-ayan, Marihatag, the group also trekked to Lucnon, were the newly constructed primary school was located. The construction of the school was handled by the OSB Sisters, while the funding was provided by the spouses of ambassadors.
The Lucnodon School is just starting with the Grade One and Two levels. Thus, areas for sharing especially on resources (e.g. books) were identified.
