New Yorker in St. Scho
Last November 28, the Chorale Reading: New Yorker in St. Scho ,which was considered a creative long test, an oral periodic exam, and a competition for the 3rd quarter of the 7th grade, was held at the Sr. Kuniberta Hall. The piece that each class performed was based on their analysis – written in poetry form with sound devices, meter and figures of speech – of one of the characters in New Yorker in Tondo by Marcelino Agana, Jr..
All the performances were very creative which gave the panel of judges, comprised of Miss Jara Merced Morados, Mr. JR Hierro, and Mr. Rueben Valenton, a very difficult time deciding on the winner. In the end, they picked the three presentations which had the clearest and most ingenious visualizations, freshest concepts, and most skillful ways of telling the story of their respective characters in poetry form: 3rd placer was 7-Silence, 2nd was 7-Obedience and 1st was 7-Hospitality.
After the competition, which lasted for approximately two hours, students felt relieved for their hard work finally paid off.
