Let’s Go Beyond Borders: Internship Program Orientation
Internship Program Orientation in today’s competitive job market. Having work experience is imperative but having international work experience is one of the best things you can do for your prospective career. Not only will you become globally competitive and go through personal and professional development but you will also gain valuable life experiences, improve your communication skills, develop independence, experience different cultures and most especially, travel. Last November 6, the Junior Restaurateurs and Hoteliers Association in collaboration with the Career and Placement Office hosted an internship Program Orientation for graduating students of the college unit. It took place at the Kuniberta Hall from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
The companies that represented were the following: 1) RCCL Crew Management Inc. 2) Icon Superior Philippines Inc. 3) GV1 Global Vantage Inc. 4) International Trainees Network 5) Career Internship Abroad 6) Fil-Global Immigration Service Corp. 7) UTP Beyond Borders 8) SHM Management Consultancy. Various work, OJT and internship opportunities were offered in different countries such as the USA, Canada, Australia, Spain, France, Thailand, Malaysia, etc. Interested students were encouraged to approach the booths set up by the companies to inquire about their programs.
The audience was livened up by the event sponsors Grind Bistro, GEN Korean BBQ and Sea Residences c/o Fil-Global Ltd. With the success of the event, the Junior Restaurateurs and Hoteliers Association is looking into pushing the envelope and going bigger next time so keep watching this space.
