FIONA ELISHA H. ROBLES, BSBA Business Management Major chosen by AMCHAM to participate in the 16th Annual Business Leadership Program (BLP) 2018
The nationwide competitive screening process for the 16th Annual Business Leadership Program (BLP) 2018 of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) of the Philippines finally concluded with the official selection of around thirty (30) participants from different schools and universities nationwide. Termed as the “Best of the Best”, the selected students are among the top students nominated by their respective schools. As the official participants of the Business Leadership Program, they will be hosted by the AMCHAM from 17-25 April 2018. The St. Scholastica’s College’s best bet, Ms. Fiona Elisha H. Robles successfully hurdled the slot after months of deliberation and rigid screening by the AMCHAM. Ms. Robles is a 3rd year business student majoring in Business Management.
The program, which is now in its 16th year, has provided the opportunity for the students “to gain new understanding of key global business and economic issues through exclusive company visits and in-depth discussions with senior executives of local multinational businesses”. It will be a week-long program in which participants are exposed to the real world company operations. The students will also attend interactive talks by key officers from AMCHAM member firms.
This leadership program of the AMCHAM is highly commendable as it augments much desired avenue to further students learning even beyond classroom boundaries. What is more appealing is the quality of learning the participants acquire which cannot be valued in unit matriculation and yet rendered for free.
