Financial Management Students on Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Tour
The Junior Financial Executives (JFINEX) of the School of Business conducted a tour of the Money Museum of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) last 29 January as part of its organization week activities. Led by its moderator, Prof.Christian Anne De Lumen and Prof. Francis Quesada, the group was welcomed by the museum staff who also conducted a short but informative presentation about the history of BSP, the process on how the currency is made and the various money collections found in the museum. The Scholasticans were also made to participate in fun and educational games to further the learning about and appreciation of the museum artifacts. Some students won prizes of personalize BSP keychain and BSP fan.
As financial management majors, the visit enabled the students to truly appreciate the history of Philippine currency as they were allowed to walk around the museum and view rare if not hard to find money exhibits. In the end, the students left the museum fulfilled of their objectives and more. They did not just visit a museum but at the same time, experienced a time travel back to early Philippines.
