Economics Major Student Elected as Vice-President of Junior Philippine Economics Society (JPES)
The Junior Philippine Economics Society (JPES), the junior arm of the Philippine Economic Society (JPES) which serves as a liaison between professional economists and economics students, recently held its national elections last 22 March 2015 in Pasig City. Representing the Economics Organization (EconOrg) of St. Scholastica’s College, was Ms. Mae Ann Mendoza who was elected Vice-President of the prestigious organization for the next term 2015-2016.
Ms. Mendoza is an incoming senior majoring student of the International Business Economics and Diplomacy Department (IBEAD) and has been known by her colleagues for her amiable personality and leadership skills. She may be following the footsteps of Ms. Kristine Mari H. Pajota who is the outgoing Vice-President of the JPES, a first from St. Scholastica’s College.
According to its website, the Junior Philippine Economics Society (JPES) is a confederation of Economics organizations from various universities and colleges in the Philippines. It is a duly recognized organization for Economics majors in the Philippines. It helps in empowering the youth through economic excellence for more than 20 years.
